This was our first time at Pine Acers. As others have said this is a PARTY campground - especially on Saturday, come Sunday and til Thursday the campground was ok. The washrooms were never clean - the speedbumps were a pain and the police coming into the campground on Saturday and setting up a spot check in front of the campground to check for drinking and driving - was another reason why we will not stay here again. There is no pool for the kids, and a dirty beach full of beer cans, and drinking anywhere and everywhere on Saturday did not add to the "family atmosphere" this campground claims to have. Water and sewer hook ups were 50 - 60 feet apart. They only have wifi is in the adult recreation room. The slide - well - if you do not mind the workers giving the finger to each other and to other people - then this is the place for you. We will never stay here again nor will we recommend it to anyone.
We were very happy with this campground. The pool was great, the owners were great, the other campers were nice. The campground was quiet - yet it was a family campground that we and our three children LOVED. The only drawback is the air planes that fly over, the last one flew over around 9:30pm or so and then you do not hear any til the morning - around 6:30am. The lots were spacious, and fire rings at each site. The hayride is a nice event for the younger kids. We will definitely stay here again and again.
This campground was nice, the store was well stocked, the staff were fine. BUT we did have one issue - we booked a year ago our site water and electric - when we arrived we had to pay an additional 3.00 and they would only give us a site with Water electric and sewer. The pool was fine, the campground was clean, washroom were clean. We will stay here again, when in the area.
We stayed here for three days last year and was given a nice sight - thus, last year, gave a nice review. This year we had our new 5th wheel and were given the camp site from hell. The road was terrible, full of pot holes, backing our small 24 foot 5th wheel up was quite a job - and I am fairly skilled at backing up. We almost hit the bed of our truck MANY times as we were heading to our campsite. The internet service was the worst we had on our whole trip. I would recommend that if you have a 5th wheel (of any size) or a motorhome that you ask for a site close to the office / pool area. They seem to be better in this area. We will likly never stay here again, because of this last visit, nor will we recommend it, like we have in the past. We are quite disappointed, in the internet service, the quality of the roads and the over all appearance of the campground this year.
Nice Park - we arrived VERY late yet a staff was able to meet us at the entrance and assist us with backing the trailer in. We did reserve a site with W/E/S but when we got there we were given a W/E site - the next day they did apologize for the mistake. The pools were nice - and the sky divers ( a regular occurrence at this campground) was a neat sight to see. We have stayed at previous Yogi Bear Campgrounds and this one was good - but a few improvements are needed - activities for the kids would be a nice a addition. We would stay here again, when in the area.
A nice campground, friendly staff, very helpful with allowing us to borrow a water hose, as the water is located on the opposite side of your septic and electric. The game room was great and free internet. They also had a computer for campers use in the game room. This was a quiet campground, with a nice pool. Great place to stay to see the area.
Nice staff, who gave a 10% discount to Canadians. Even though it was raining the pool was open, but the pool pavement and stairs was in need of repair. The owner would NOT open the hot tub for the campers on the night we stayed, and NO kids were allowed in it - even with their parents present. The camp store close quite early, but the game room stayed open to 10pm. We might stay here again??
Nice park. We stayed here for just one night. Clean park and friendly helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again - but the roads into the KOA were not good.
The best campground I have ever stayed at. Friendly people, great staff, a christening atmosphere. I will make this a regular part of our vacation each year. My kids loved it here. And we will love it more in our new to us 5th wheel.
WOW - the train noise at night was an added bonus to the un-kept appearance of the park. The unlevel sites added to the rustic feeling. I would NEVER stay here again. The owners were nice but MAJOR work needs to be done, including moving the park away from the train that rolls through at 2am. Spend your money wisely and stay at a KOA.
